GPO and ADM templates for FireFox!

by BassQ on Apr.28, 2008, under Weblog

For a long time, my biggest problem with implementing Firefox as a default browser in a corporate environment has been the lack of .adm templates to manage it centrally. As a huge fan of GPO based software management/installation I was extremely glad to find firefoxadm. So far I’ve tested it in a controlled VMWare based environment, and it looks pretty good. Well worth checking out and it’s definately huge step forward if you want to get rid of IE6 in an Active Directory environment. At the same time, have a look at In-Cider Knowledge of Firefox, System Administration and Life and the documentation for firefoxadm (pdf)
