Internet Explorer 8 is more stable than IE 7 that is why i like it. I always experience freezing browser window in IE 7.

Once you’ve got the Wake on WAN tested and working, wouldn’t it be fine then to turn every security setting in the router back on, barring the port-forward to the IP/MAC address to be WoL’d?

Once everything is verified as working, you won’t need to test with ping or anything else further right?

I’ll give this a shot at home tonight/at work tomorrow! I’m lucky enough to have a static public IP at home, and I’ve got my port-forwards working to the point I can use UltraVNC to connect in from work (I much prefer this to Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Connection) Now I just need Wake on WAN cranking, and I’m sorted!

I do not find the registry keys:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\AccountDomainSid
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\PingID
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\SusClientId

From Windows Server 2008???

I have tried to search information about it but so far I have not found out where these are in W2k8?

Followed your steps. Instead of the clients.xml error I get this:

Could be that I copied system.dll from a 32-bit XP install to my x64 Win7 install.

Vista Beta2 was installed 12/05/08 ; this morning my grand daughter could not use the printer via wireless router.
SystemK8M800 Micro AM2 board;
2mb ram
Router D-Link wbr2310
Printer:
HP 3180 AIO.
Uninstalled Beta 2, printer will now work via Wireless Router.
